Shelly Baldwin is the Legislative and Media Relations manager for the Washington Traffic Safety Commission. She serves as the agency’s legislative liaison promoting policies to further the State’s Target Zero goal of zero traffic deaths and serious injuries. She directs the agency’s educational and media campaigns to support WTSC programs aimed at improving driver behavior. She loves the opportunity to encourage others to embrace the state’s goal of zero traffic deaths and the way these two roles combined as Washington passed and implemented a new, strict distracted driving law.

Shelly began her career at WTSC in 2007 as a program manager, where she administered statewide efforts to eliminate impaired driving fatal and disabling injury collisions. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and Business from Washington State University.
